On Sep. 2, the awarding ceremony of the prize “Vietnam Gold Star - 2009” was held in My Dinh National Conference Center by Vietnam Young Enterprise Association and Vietnam Youth Union.

Attending the ceremony, there were Mr. Nguyen Sinh Hung, Member of the organization boar, Permanent Governmental Deputy President, Mr. Vu Huy Hoang, Central Party Member cum the Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Le Doan Hop, Minister of Information and Communications, Mr. Dinh La Thang, Central Party Member cum PVN President, Mr. Lam Phuong Thanh, the Youth Union Permanent Secretary and representatives from state agencies, broadcast and news agencies.

The prize is awarded to 200 enterprises ranked Top 10, Top 100, Top 200 with strict criteria. PVFC has an honor to rank Top 100. Besides, the prize also has the names of oil and gas industry: PVI, PVOil, PTSC, PVFCCo, of which PVFCCo ranks Top 10.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Sinh Hung highly appreciated the fact that enterprises have been striving to overcome the global economy crisis that affirm Vietnamese enterprises’ strength as greatly contribute to national economy.

On this occasion, Vietnam Young Enterprise Association announced the foundation of “Vietnam Gold Star” club for annual awarded enterprises with the purpose to strengthen the mutual support and cooperation. Especially, the “Disadvantage Children Fund” has been set up. Mr. Tong Quoc Truong, PVFC General Director, on behalf of the association collect gifts from enterprises to the fund.
